Accounting/Finance

Overview

The Accounting/Finance Department oversees the entire process of the university's accounting and financial operations. This includes providing accurate and timely financial information in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. General responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance over the general ledger (GL) and chart of accounts (COA)
  • Account transfers and journal entries
  • Assisting faculty with access to the Banner Finance system
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Tracking fixed assets
  • Managing the fiscal year-end close and audit process
