Board of Regents Meeting 2023
Welcome to the Lamar University Campus
Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure we welcome you to Southeast Texas. Here, history was made with the first major oil discovery that continues to fuel the landscape of higher education in our region. We are honored to be hosting TSUS Regents, Administrators, Presidents, Faculty and Staff on our campus.
The Board of Regents meeting will be held in the Live Oak Ballroom B on the first floor of the Setzer Student Center on the Lamar University campus. Transportation will be provided to take you from the hotel to all meetings, meals, and evening events. Lunch will be served in the Live Oak Ballroom A on the first floor of the Setzer Center beginning at 11:30 AM on Thursday, November 16. That evening, we will travel to Orange for cocktails at The Stark Museum of Art, home to one of the nation’s most significant collections of American Western art. Free parking is available in the Stark Museum of Art parking lot, which is located across 7th Street from the Museum. Dinner will be held a short distance away at the J. Michael and Bridget Shahan Events Center on the Lamar State College Orange campus.
Afterwards, we’ll transport you back to the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites where you’ll have access to a hospitality suite. At the adjournment of the meeting Friday, box lunches will be available for you to enjoy as you travel home.
