Dr. Jaime Taylor's First Visit to LU
Dr. Jaime Taylor visited Lamar University the week of June 18th. Dr. Taylor toured parts of campus and met with faculty and staff.
Week 1: July 12-17, 2021
Dr. Taylor met custodial staff and the women's basketball coaches, enjoyed his first LU Spirit day and enjoyed lunch with Lamar Orange's President.
Week 2: July 18-24, 2021
Dr. Taylor enjoys donuts with members of the marketing team and meets summer campers attending soccer, engineering and computer science camps. He also met the head basketball coach and got a warm welcome from maintenance staff and students.
Week 3: July 25-31, 2021
Dr. Taylor met with Orange City leaders and Lamar Orange President, visited with students at nearby restaurants, as well as SGA officers.
Week 4: August 1-7, 2021
Dr. Taylor continues to meet campus staff and students.
Week 5: August 8-14, 2021
Dr. Taylor attends his First Lamar University Commencement and meets more friendly faces at LU.
Week 6: August 15-21, 2021
Dr. Taylor greets Faculty and Staff at Convocation.

President Taylor has a Great first week of school and enjoys the Week of Welcome Events!
Week 8: August 29- September 4, 2021
Dr. Taylor meets the LU Community at cardinal Kick off and enjoys the kick off game to the Football season!
Week 9: September 6-11, 2021
Dr. Taylor meets the LU Community at cardinal Kick off and enjoys the kick off game to the Football season!
Week 10: September 12-18, 2021
Dr. Taylor enjoys a Gala at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas and Celebrates LU Birthday!
Week 11: September 19-25, 2021
President Taylor meets with students at the multicultural festival, films new LU commercials, enjoys lunch with International students and stops to meet two adorable future Cardinals.
