Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams can be used for communication with colleagues including group chat, private chat, video-conferencing with screen sharing, file sharing, and any other collaboration needs. Start up a chat, call or video conference with colleagues via the web-browser, mobile, or desktop Microsoft Teams app.

Download the App

  1. Go to https://portal.office.com
  2. Enter your Lamar email address LEA@lamar.edu (ex. jdoe@lamar.edu) if not already signed in.
  3. Click "Teams".
  4. Stop here if you only want to run Teams in your browser. Otherwise:
  5. Click the Download button on the bottom left of the page.  
  6. Run the installer.
  7. Sign in if prompted.
  8. You can now access Teams as a program on your desktop, enabling screen sharing.
